It’s Spring and Earth Day is just around the corner (April 22) – perfect timing to look at some fresh and fun ideas that we love (and the earth loves them, too):
Stone Paper
Stone paper is a durable tree-free product made from stone with no wood pulp, no tree cutting, no water or air pollution, no acid, no alkaline, and no bleach. Blue, black, red, or green stock will arrive in May 2012, so this product is as fresh as you can get!
Seed Paper
Seed paper, also known as plantable paper, is a biodegradable eco-paper that is made with post-consumer materials (no trees harmed for this paper!) and embedded with seeds. When the paper is planted in a pot of soil, the seeds grow and the paper composts away. All that is left behind is flowers, herbs or vegetables and no waste. It’s easy to plant and grow, and there are thousands of paper products with a seed paper component that can be customized: greeting cards, journals, business cards, confetti, and coasters. Our favorites: a thank you card that turns into daisies or an inspirational journal (once the journal is full, they can plant the cover and watch their ideas flower).
